A lot has happened since my last post. We found a beautiful piece of property with a smaller house and up and moved this past April. Moving the hives was less difficult then moving my husband along to embrace our new adventure.
Anyway the move afforded us more areas for my gardening and a dedicated space for the girls. I started the year with eight hives and after a crazy spring ended up with 16 by mid June. I am trying to find a comfortable number to manage as I move forward.
I also have started selling my honey at a road side stand in front of my house. It's a busy street so i figured that even if I don't get sales at first, folks see me out front with my honey.
